Besides the introduction and conclusion this work is constituted of three structured parts. In the introduction the emphasis is on the most common researches of violence, pointing out the necessity of multidisciplinary scientific approach. Scientific research of violence, specifically the kind of violence where the victims or perpetrators are children and minors, represent the necessity for the adequate reaction of the society towards the main determinants and factors of the violence. The first part of the work tells about the determinants of the violence, their classification according to their nature and the impact they have on violence (factors that predetermine a person to commit a crime, factors that make things easier, those which contribute to violence and factors that inhibit violence). In the second part the emphasis is on the models of forming of violent behaviour and its changes during years. Besides some of the results of the Pittsburgh Youth Study, in this work there is also Patterson, DeBaryshe i Ramsey Shihning’s model which is adapted by Chou and Kevin Browne. This model explains in which way the risk factors such as: inadequate parenthood, domestic violence and child neglecting can bring to some criminal acts of violence. It is specifically analyzed in which way the factors change with the aging of the subject. Development of social mechanisms for solving conflicts starts early in the childhood and continuous to grow, makes progress and changes during time, that is to say, it changes in accordance with positive and negative experiences. Failure in building socially acceptable problem-conflict-solving mechanisms can produce violent and aggressive behaviour. In the third part there is a presentation of basic data which show the magnitude and trends of criminal acts of violence committed by children and minors. In the conclusion it is pointed out that there is a need for constant research of violence, and also for the conditions that need to be provided so that the systematic reaction of the society can result in significant decrease of criminal acts of violence.
