Abstract

This review article has been written as a module on History of Philosophical Ideas, as part of wider research for my dissertation on the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Belgrade University. Its task is to make a passage through intellectual history from late 19th thru 20th to the beginning of 21st century. In this era a selected directions in rationalizing and analyzing narrative forms are subject of my research and discursive analysis. The paper earned its heading The Selected Chain of History of Ideas on Narratives as reference to Arthur Lovejoy`s book The Great Chain of Being. A Study of a History of an Idea. The great chain of being is descriptive name for the universe. The parallel I drew here was meant to make an allusion on the vast area that history of ideas on narratives encompass. The review is only one particle of this universe. This selection highlights thee paradigms shift of the era. Frist at the end of 19th century and beginning of the 20th with Charles Sanders Pierce and Franz Boas. Following in the 60`es with Mikhail Bakhtin, Jacques Derrida and Roland Barthes and the third at end of 20th and beginning of 21st century with paradigm of anonymity. The first two are pointed out thru intellects distinct for their historical particularism and the third over artificial intelligence. Particular novelty that this paper carries is in its transdisciplinary approach that arcades relations of early 20th century narrative research with development of artificial intelligence and their conceivable interrelatedness.
