Apstrakt

Иако се дуго сматрало да у академским круговима не постоје развијени облици друштвене организације, средином прошлог века дошло се до сазнања да се међу научницима створила распрострањена и утицајна мрежа неформалне комуникације и друштвених веза у оквирима тзв. Невидљивих факултета. Данас су академске социјалне мреже врло развијене и сматрају се зачетницима нових облика постојања организација: мрежних и виртуелних организација. Овај рад пружа преглед досадашњих истраживања и сазнања о развоју и особеностима академских социјалних мрежа, док је посебан акценат стављен на карактеристике ових мрежа, на врсте веза у мрежама и њихове импликације, као и утицај модерних средстава комуникације, пре свега интернета, на природу комуникације у академским мрежама и њихов развој.
