NEKI METODOLOŠKI I METATEORIJSKI PROBLEMI TEORIJE RACIONALNOG IZBORA

Рад је посвећен разматрању методолошких и метатеоријских изазови теорије рационалног избора. Методолошки изазови тичу се питања: да ли се теорија рационалног избора може адекватно, емпиријски тестирати и да ли теорија рационалног избора омогућава истраживачима да изводе занимљиве хипотезе у везих главних области примене. Одговори на ово питања имају важне импликације на амбицију теорије рационалног избора да буде теорија-упуство за друштвена истраживања. Такође, у раду се разматрају и следећи метатеоријски проблеми: како да се разумеју очигледни контра докази који произлази из примењених области друштвених истраживања? Да ли је могуће обезбедити објашњења ових доказа унутар теорије рационалног избора ширењем њених кључних претпоставки и помоћних хипотеза? Или да ли да се теорија рационалног избора побољша (и ако јесте, како?) интеграцијом концепата и механизама других друштвених приступа, а да ипак остане разумна „радна машина“ и „полазна тачка“ за социолошка истраживања?
