AMBER ALERT AS AID TO ASSISTING POLICE ACTIVITIES

Search-related activities represent the actions of the institutions of internal affairs that have for its ain the finding of persons whose locations are unknown or that of the missing things, as well as gathering and providing information about specific circumstances and things of importance to the judiciary procedure. Given the increasing percentage of missing persons and the problems faced by the police in the search for them, the question arises as to the justification of introducing Amber Alert or Child alert in the Republic of Serbia as a form of assistance to law enforcement agencies. Bearing in mind the growing public interest in this topic, this work will be based in the main characteristics of this system, the importance of its implementation into the legal system of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the problems that the police may face if this method of alerting the public is introduced in cases of missing children and adults.
